About Me

Colleen McCarron, LPC, CEDS-S

Hello! I am a native Northern Virginian and am personally well-versed in understanding the high pressure and demands of living in the DC Area. I graduated with my Master’s of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Marymount University, and am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in Virginia, and licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) in Maryland.

Working with teens and adults with eating disorders has always been my greatest passion and strength. I have more than 11 years of experience as an eating disorder therapist, working in many local treatment centers at all levels of care. I love helping clients disengage with their eating disorders and embrace the challenges and freedom that comes with recovery. As a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS), you can be confident that my process is rooted in best practices for treating eating disorders. I also have extensive training and experience working with parents of clients with eating disorders, to help them engage effectively with the treatment process of their loved one.

I have a fondness for working with young adults who are navigating the world on their own for the first time, and all the excitement and pressures that come along with it – dating, work-life balance, managing relationships with families, and self-care.

I am a board-approved supervisor in the state of Virginia, and provide supervision to new clinicians pursuing licensure. I am also an approved supervisor through the International Association for Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP) for licensed clinicians seeking certification to become a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist .
